Reincarnation gives us reason to ask larger questions about what we are and what our place in the scheme of things is. It also gives us cause to expect larger answers of these questions. When we begin to glimpse our true longevity, when we begin to appreciate the true scope of our lives, we can no longer see ourselves as simply the citizens of one country or one century. We must instead come to see ourselves as time travelers with unrestricted passports.
